Draw a pattern for your gingerbread character on the paper and cut out.
Using the pattern, trace over the cloth and cut out two of the same shape from the cloth.
Thread a needle with the desired thread and sew the mouth and eyes on one side.
Sew the two pieces together to form a complete girgerbread person, leaving holes in the midsection and at the bottom.
Loop two candy canes through the gingerbread person as shown in photo to create the arms and legs.
